2008 Boat Show Dinner raises £1,925.00
Thirty-five members and guests gathered in the sumptuously renovated Archive Room at The Goring Hotel for the Trust's Annual Boat Show Dinner. After a champagne reception we enjoyed a superb meal with fine wines served as ever with the accustomed professionalism and panache of the Hotel staff.
In addition to the traditional fund raising activities there was an auction for items kindly donated by Jeremy Goring and Virginia Childs which raised over £800.00, our grateful thanks to them and the successful bidders! We should also like to thank all those who gave additional donations to the Trust.. |

Sand Chai r for Polzeath Beach
The Sand Chair was presented by Tessa Inge and David Bishop on behalf of The Quinnian Trust to Jessica Cook, the Sports Officer of the Cornwall Disability Forum on 5 October 2006 at Truro Cathedral. This was part of the Cornwall Community Foundations Annual Community Awards Ceremony. Those in the picture, from the left, are James Williams (Chairman of CCF), Jessica, Tessa and David.
The Sand Chair will be located on Polzeath beach. The "official" launch and naming of the Chair, the John Inge Chair, will be by the Bishop of Truro, Bishop Bill, on 11 April at 11am. John was a Friend of both The Quinnian Trust and the CCF. This will be followed by drinks and a snack or too. Details of how to book and hire the Sand Chair and further details of the launching will follow. |
